The map cells will not hurt you.

Survive as long as possible on this destructible map.

Move with AWSD / ZQSD / arrow keys.

Red is an enemy. The small blue thingies are XP.

Point to shoot or get the auto aim bonus. No complaining about auto aim now :)

Let me know what you think !

For better performances, I recommend downloading the desktop version of the game.

What game is this a remix of? : 0 it's so cool. I want to do my own version sometime. Excellent made. graphics are good. Sound is good. the overall experience is above expected for a weeklong game jam < 3

Huuu I don't know, you can find inspiration from Vampire Survivors definitely :)Thanks a lot !
I am developing this into a full game, you can find the current version here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fms

I had a day off during the jam that helped a lot :)

please add some form of easy mode. you dont have to balance the entire game just add a easy normal and hard mode which changes how fast the enimies get stronger and maybe even how easier it is to break the block things.

Got it :) Thanks for your feedback !
I think it needs some roguelite elements

yes thats kinda the name of the game but i really just think that there should be diffuculty changeres. heres some ideas: buff the time upgrade. maybe make it an ability with a 10 second cooldown and it works for 2 seconds and you can activate it by pressing a button or something. the luck upgrade needs a huge buff. make it a higher chance. i would like a upgrade which makes enimies you hit explode or something, that would be so nice. a upgrade that makes it easier to destroy the blocks.

and if you want rougeLITE then you can make some of the destroyed cubes be golden and if you break them you get the currency you can use when you die. then there could be a normal xp upgrade that increases the chances of getting gold cubes. doesnt that sound like a good idea?

im your guy if you run out off ideas. i love these types of games. and my mind can explode with ideas sometimes. so just talk to me when you want ideas :3 :)

- Buff the time : Yes I could have a SUPER TIME UPGRADE that would be offered when you have the regular time bonus ! Activating on a button.. That was my initial idea but I like the simple controls. Need to think about this.
- Agree on the luck update it's weak
- I love the explosion but that's something I would need to implement not sure to have enough time before the end of the jam :( I was thinking a big explosion when you get hit. I love explosions :')
- block destroy upgrade, yeah good idea. I was thinking two characters, one that would give you a buff against blocks. But in the meantime yeah

I love the idea of the golden cubes !

Thanks for all the good ideas ! <3 I love your feedback !

Super time will be the goal for the next update, it's a quick win

So during my lunch time I buffed the lucky shot drastically. It's a lot more fun now. And added super time stop :)

Hey ! I haven't added an easy mode, but the difficulty curve is now a lot gentler :) Plus when you get hit you have an explosion that will destroy close enemies and you have more bonuses

Hey ! I updated the game outside the scope of the gamejam, so I created a new page here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fms

Very fun but extremely difficult. 30sec to 1m is the longest anyone can survive.

Thanks a lot !
Yes it screams for some roguelite elements. Someone on the libGDX discord managed to get all the powerups so I hesitant to tweak the current balance

I did just manage to get to the "end game" a bunch of times, and wow! The game is aweomse. The balance seems perfect, although it's very luck based because you need to get the right upgrades at the right time. What ended up killing me always was the lag.

Haaaa thanks for the follow up ! <3
Yeah I noticed it, it should have already improved but there are still a few improvements that I need to do. If you want the desktop version is a looooot more performant

Hey ! I updated the game outside the scope of the gamejam, so I created a new page here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fms

Why use AI?

Not sure what you mean by that ?

The icon/thumbnail you used ai

Ha yeah sure ! It's just a gamejam entry and I suck at art. As you can see in the game.
Besides, this one made me think about the box art we used to get for old games

Can you put up a windows .exe for the game?

I'll give it a try, but I'm not on windows so you will be my alpha tester :)

I added a zip that contains everything you should need to run the game.
Beware that it was just meant as a gamejam browser project, so it does not support resizing :)
HF !

I tried it on Windows 11 and it works. Thank you. :)

Hooooooooooo so coool !! That's the first time I distribute an executable. Thanks !

Now Your Playing with Power! ;)

Hey ! I updated the game outside the scope of the gamejam, so I created a new page here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fmsAnd it has your exe :)

I tested the .exe for Full Metal Survival and it does not work. There is also a .jar file in the folder and that does not work either.

Your latest version of retro-racer-rogue-winX64 works fine.

Damn ! I'll look into fixing this. Probably due to the shader. What bugs me is that I can't reproduce it for now

Thanks a lot for trying !

Ok I was able to reproduce the issue one of my pcs. And now it starts properly. So I fixed at least one bug, I hope it's the same one that you got :D
